Are you having trouble fighting a Candida yeast infection? If you have tried various medications to combat against a stubborn yeast infection, then you might want to try some other cures including home remedies. One of the most popular home remedies against yeast infection problems is the use of white vinegar. There is probably one question running in your mind. Does white vinegar work against Candida Yeast Infection?

It is a fact that a yeast infection is among the most awful diseases a person may suffer. This is characterized by itching and burning sensation. Although used as home remedy by many

yeast infection sufferers, the efficacy of white vinegar to arrest the problem is still a huge question.

Although white vinegar works for some people, the claimed effectiveness does not apply to everyone who suffers from a Candida yeast infection and when some cure is observed it does not remove the infection totally. Not removing completely the infection is equivalent to not curing the disease at all. This leads to the answer that white vinegar doesn’t actually cure Candida yeast infection.

According to experts in alternative and holistic treatments, white vinegar can only exacerbate the yeast infection’s growth and should not be included in any Candida yeast infection treatment routine. Candida is a fungus which is the cause of the yeast infection. This type of fungus lives minutely in the body thus posing no danger to one’s health. However, when the number increases beyond the normal level, the bacteria can find their way into the bloodstream via the intestines and symptoms of yeast infection will be inevitable.

The increase in the number of the fungus can be due to several circumstances.

It is observed that the growth of Candida increases in a more acidic environment. Maintaining a good balance of acidity and alkalinity in the body is vital in limiting the growth of this fungus. The human body has a normal pH range between 7.35 and 7.45. Even the smallest changes in the human body’s pH level can cause serious health complications like the occurrence of yeast infection.

Poor diet and stress are just among the factors which increases the level of acidity in the blood. That is why it is encouraged to consume food products which form alkalis to combat this pH imbalance in the body. Vegetables, fruits, and food products rich in potassium, sodium, and calcium are often recommended in order to maintain a good pH balance in the body. White vinegar which has a pH of 5.5 is understandably very acidic and therefore not helpful in arresting the Candida yeast infection. The only type of vinegar which is helpful in treating this disease is apple cider which has a pH of 7.5.

Finally, good diet is one key to arrest the presence of yeast infection and white vinegar should not be a part of it. A diet rich in alkali should be considered. If you want to use vinegar, try apple cider vinegar instead. White vinegar can actually feed the infection rather than stop it.
